Jen Jones, LCMHC, NCC

I’m a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina and I'm a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I graduated with a Masters degree in Couple and Family Counseling from UNCG in 2017. Since then, I have worked in the community agency and group practice settings gaining valuable experience helping children, adolescents, and adults. My primary focus now is coming alongside adults to help you explore your difficulties with non-judgmental curiosity to help you gain insight, develop self-compassion, and make positive changes.

My approach to therapy includes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), and mindfulness. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is designed to help you heal from past disturbing experiences that still impact you today. Click here to learn more about EMDR therapy.

Counseling is so personal and specific to the individual client, and I seek to really honor your uniqueness and find what might work best for you. My hope is that as a result of therapy, you not only feel better and meet your goals, but feel more connected to yourself and to others.

When not working, you can find me adventuring outdoors, making delicious meals (with dessert, of course), and attempting to find joy in simply being with my friends and family of four.
